Britta Strother joined Dominion & Water Sanitation District in August 2023 and serves as Dominion's Director of Programs. As the Director of Planning, Britta is responsible for the strategic development and administration of Dominion’s water resources portfolio.

Over the last 15 years, Britta has worked with Colorado municipalities, special water districts, and regional authorities to develop sustainable strategies to meet current and future demands that incorporate solutions based on a multi-faceted approach including but not limited to economic, environmental, political, and social considerations. Additionally, Britta has previously provided clients services including the evaluation of water rights portfolios and water delivery contracts as well as investigations and negotiations for new water and storage opportunities.

Britta earned her Master of Law in Resource Law and Certificates of Specialization in water law and policy as well as environmental law and policy from Denver Sturm Collage of Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree with a major in International Political Economy and two minors in Economics and Comparative Sociology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Britta was born in Grand Junction but grew up mostly on the front range and graduated from high school in Littleton, Colorado. When not working, Britta enjoys spending time with her husband, their twin toddlers, and their dog Sky.
